How to Solve Problems Using the New Testament as a
Guide!
This weekend seminar is designed to help the student
organize the books of the New Testament by presenting the books in a story line
from the earliest to the latest written book. An overview of each book is
presented with interest given to who wrote it, to whom it was written, what the
content is, and what problems it was written to solve. This line of teaching is
to help the believer understand how to solve real life problems by using the
New Testament. We will:
- Provide an overview of the Intertestamental Period
from the close of the Old Testament book of Malachi until the birth narratives
of Jesus to show the connection between the Old & New Testament. This helps
believers to see how God works and continues to work in the lives of his
people.
- Compare the Old and New Testament books to
demonstrate how the different kinds of literature provide a good reading guide
for the reader. This provides good reading habits for the believer to begin to
develop. Reading and understanding will lead to good application in their
lives.
- Illustrate the ministry of Jesus and how it
continues to apply to today's life.
- Help believers understand the larger life problems
that the New Testament addresses and the solutions that it offers.
